Back to School! Part 1 of 2....

It's Back to School Time!  This means Mommy goes a bit nuts trying to get everything ready.  The craziness was even more apparent this year thanks to a 9 million dollar addition to her school.  Once again, Mommy and Heather will job-share this year.  They are still awaiting a meeting with HR in hopes this can continue beyond this year.  Their new room was not ready until one week before kids came.  Between the two of them, they worked approximately 100 hours combined in 4 days.  As expected, the room was complete, beautiful and ready for the Kindies to arrive!
For crying out loud DAD... Cooper is in the SAME darn shirt again.  As you can see, Daddy was in charge of us kids while Mommy worked from sun up to sun down.  Hence, it looks like he has only one outfit in his closet.  Anyhow, we met Mommy and Heather in their classroom with lunch for them.  We didn't stay long as this would have created more work, but we look forward to a return playdate visit.
I was back to school too last week!  On Wednesday, I had orientation day at preschool.  I am attending the same Lutheran based preschool as last year.  I will attend 3 days a week in the mornings.  I love my preschool and my teacher, Mrs. Cooper (isn't that funny!?!?!?!)  Mommy was excited to have Wednesday off to attend orientation since she couldn't go last year.  We had a story, some songs, art projects, snack, and time to play.  I love the loft where I can play with toys that Cooper and I do not have at home (girl toys).
Mommy had a welcome back day for students too.  Per tradition, Daddy took her picture with us boys and then by herself holding up a 1 and a 3 on her fingers.....yep, year 13 for Mommy this year!
Jenny took our photo on the official regular day of preschool.  Cooper was outfitted with a backpack as he would just LOVE to be in preschool with Mason and I.  Sorry buddy, 2 more years for you.
This weekend, Mommy and Auntie Erin hosted a baby shower for Auntie Jill.  She is due November 8th.  Since we do not know the gender, they decided to do a bumblebee theme for the shower.  Mommy is crafty and has good vision/planning where Erin is an amazing cook.  They now believe they should open a party planning business!
I had my first soccer game for fall league today (maybe photos next time if Daddy has them on his phone).  Before we left, we spent a few minutes playing with our cousin Kyra.  For some reason, only girls were allowed at the baby shower, not cool.  Here are some of the party photos of set-up and activities....
Mommy made the bumblebee diaper cake during all of her spare time this week (SO worth it!)
Mommy's vision was for beehive cupcakes and her friend Jeannie delivered :)  Jeannie made almond and honey infused frosted angel food cupcakes.  YUMMY!
Auntie Lynn, who owns a bakery, was able to create a bumblebee cake pop per Mommy's request and begging :)
Table decor.... Honeycomb cereal in vases with daisies and bee cut-outs
Balloons around Honeycomb vase
Party favors were miniature beehives with Bit-O-Honey's inside
Game prizes were black/white and bumblebee coasters that Mommy made along with a mini honey bear
Mommy created the Mama 2 Bee banner with her scrapbook supplies
Kyra demonstrates the "How Big is the New Mommy's Tummy?" measurement game
Auntie Erin puts the finishing touches on her food masterpieces..... donut hole tree, mini-fritatas, banana bread, croissants & chicken salad, and the cutest fruit baby bassinet ever!
We had approx 30ish guests at the shower and Auntie Jill and Uncle Matt will need to rent a U-Haul (kind of kidding, but maybe not) to bring their baby items home!
You know fall is here when the football gear appears!  Auntie Jill is a Packers fan and Uncle Matt is a Vikings fan.  This means their child will be stuck in the middle, just like Cooper and I.

Read part 2 below for our end of the summer events!
