Our Mama told us there is no bigger blessing or more important job than being a mother. She feels blessed everyday for me and Cooper and of course, we feel blessed too :)
Here is her new "bad" ride... a Trek that pretty much matches Daddy's bike, LOL!
Cooper told her days before Mother's Day that we went to the mall (Scheels) to get her a new bike. There are no secrets in this family. She still pretended to be surprised or maybe she was when she saw the bike inside of the house in the kitchen.
Mommy is rubbing off on Dad with the little chalkboard notes :)
More important than her bike, we gave her special handcrafted gifts from school. Cooper gave her a special "pieced" heart card.
We cracked up laughing at Cooper's "Mommy interview" page. Some of his answers are downright hilarious. We were all laughing over his perceived reality.Mommy just about DIED when she received my little picture and writing about Mom. I wrote that she "sometimes makes me supper." First of all, she wants you to all know she makes supper 75% of the week and the other percentage is either Daddy's doing or restaurants, ha! She also had to remind me of all the other "special" things she does. We brainstormed new ideas for next year, jeesh!

We also gave Mommy this canvas photo to hang in her bedroom or bathroom. She loved it (and Dad loves Red Envelope Co.!)Grammy came in her hot rod; we went to the golf course for their annual Mother's Day brunch. Auntie Jill, Uncle Matt and Emmett joined us too. It was a delicious brunch and it was nice to see some family!
We love Grammy's ride..... "No comment" on whether we actually take spins in it :)
In other news.... the weather is turning nice outside so we are being spoiled with bike rides, yardwork, and outdoor play. We love to ride our bikes and Mommy is convinced that Cooper will also be riding a 2 wheeler by the end of the summer.Born to ride.... wore my go-to cowboy boots as usual. Mommy loves that I wear these around... cowboy at heart!
Cooper and I were a little optimistic when our sprinkler system was turned on. We felt it was a good day for a run through them. Can you tell by our long pants and coats that it was still a bit on the chilly side?!?!?
Always a problem solver, Cooper found these goggles on his own so he wouldn't get pelted in the face by the sprinklers.
A few weeks ago, Mom and Dad hosted their annual Cinco de Mayo fiesta. There were approximately 35 guests and they had great fun! It was way too busy to take pictures during the party (Cooper and I were at Grammy's) so she snapped just a few of her favorites.... flowers above in her new ceramic funky vase....

Daddy has been busy at work with a new medical clinic. His departments will be in this new clinic (attached to the hospital); he is very excited for the beautiful new space and state of the art facility. He presented the day of the ground-breaking ceremony. Looking good Daddy!
In Mommy news, her soccer team won the Championship game on Monday night (6-2). It was a hard-fought season overall with changes on the team (players, goalie, etc...) Mommy was red and sweaty for a full day after this game. And... she scored 3 goals in case you are curious :) Yay Mommy!
I came home from school with this adorable blue bird art project. Art is my favorite specialist area and I see myself as an artist. This surprises my parents as my fine motor skills HAVE greatly improved, but my overall interest in coloring was non-existent prior to school. My blue bird masterpiece consisted of newspaper strips (painted) for the nest, a textured blue bird with feathers, string for the nest, and finally some sponge green leaf blobs. How cute is this?!?!?For those of you who knew... we all had ear infections and strep a few weeks ago and I am happy to report that we are ALL healthy again. Did you know that strep comes in many forms? Daddy had the classic sore throat, I had a rash (on my butt, ick) and Mom had a pounding headache. Cooper had an ear infection and since we all had strep, they figured he probably did too. We had a miniature pharmacy going on in our kitchen for 10 days.
Finally, we are busy with spring sports, including soccer (pictures to come next post) and swim lessons! I have been swimming without a float belt (see my head above water). I am getting stronger and stronger in the water. I sometimes use a mini-float on my back for full length (pool) swimming. Cooper is down to one float belt too! We hope this will help us become more independent around the lakes and pools this summer! We are fish!
This is Cooper reminding us that he is #1... yep Cooper, we know.... Have a great week!
