Growing Boy!

Today I had my four month check up and Mommy and Daddy were betting on my weight. Both were wrong and guessed that I was around 13 pounds. I now weigh a "hefty" 14 pounds, 4 ounces! My friend, Dr. Van de Loo, and nurse Shannon, were so happy to see me. I was happy to see them too and I gave them lots of cute smiles, in hopes they wouldn't give me those shots. Unfortuantely, I still had 3 shots today and had to drink some pretty delicious medicine. I was brave though and only cried for a few minutes. I am almost two feet tall (I need to grow 1/2 inch more). The doctor said I am in the 50% for my weight and 10% for my height (thanks to my shorty parents!!!) He also said that my head isn't too flat for a helmet... yeah! I would love to be an astronaut, but not until I am older. I also get to start eating big people food such as cereal, vegetables and fruit! This was the most exciting news of all! I can't wait to see what Mommy is going to feed me first (I think she mentioned vegetables...yum!) I don't need to go back to see my buddies at the clinic (they all know me there from when I was just a "peanut") for another two months. I think I am going to take it easy this afternoon and take some naps. Mommy keeps giving me some pink stuff to swallow to help me feel dreamy and relaxed. Night, night for now....

Yummy in my Tummy

I had the most amazing stuff yesterday! Mommy said I was big enough to have cereal now that I am 17 weeks old! I was really excited to eat something besides same ol' milk. I guess I was a little messy from eating. My parents were surprised that I opened my mouth and swallowed the cereal without spitting it out too much (I don't know why they thought I would do that anyways). I heard Mommy telling Daddy that she hoped that I would sleep through the night. Just to be a stinker, I still got up at 1:00 in the morning (hee, hee). I mostly get up in the middle of the night because I miss my Mommy and Daddy and just need to make sure that they know I am still here. One of these nights, I will probably just want to sleep it out and I am sure Mommy and Daddy will be so proud of me!

Happy 3 months to Me!

Here I am on my 3rd month birthday! Mommy's friend Bridget gave me these cool shirts for milestone months, so here I am wearing my t-shirt that says "3 MONTHS" on it. I had a great day turning 3 months old (they didn't give me any cake though, just same ol' milk). We also had some professional pictures taken, but just to be a stinker, I didn't smile in them. That's because I was rudely awaken with bells and noisy toys and some strange lady trying to take my picture. Mommy and Daddy said I looked, "sweet" even though I didn't flash my famous, gummy smile. Maybe next time they should schedule my pictures around my naps.

Lil Golfer

This studly outfit was the first one that my Mommy bought for me when I was just a twinkle in her eye. She says that "baby GAP" is a dangerous store... I wonder why? As you know, my Mommy loves to put me in these ridiculous outfits, but then again, I look so handsome in them. We were getting ready for my girlfriend Molly's first birthday party. I was the cutest boy there (never mind that I was the only boyfriend invited) Mommy and Daddy also think I should get used to wearing golf outfits because they are going to train me to be the next Tiger Woods. I don't know who that guy is since I haven't seen him on TV yet. They keep saying that they will retire early if I can learn to golf as good as him. I think I have my work cut out for me!

My new fun toy

I am so excited that I am big enough for a "big boy" toy instead of all of these baby toys around here. This crazy saucer has so many fun things to look at. My toes barely touch the bottom of it and I don't have total control of my upper body, but we think I am "close enough" to go in it. I love the sunshine rattle and the animal sounds and buttons. I go in my saucer everyday and sometimes cry if Mommy or Daddy take me out of it too early.

WHOA- Do you think Mommy got close enough in one of these pictures? I think the camera makes me look a little chunky here!

Go Wisconsin!

Daddy went out and bought me this ugly (Mommy told me to say that) Packers jersey. I had it on for the Vikings vs. Packers game and I secretly cheered with Mommy for the Vikings, but don't tell Daddy that. I am a Badger's fan too, which is fine with Mommy. When the TV is on, I actually do watch it. Mommy tells Daddy I might end up with ADHD if he keeps putting me in front of it. I just love all the colors and movement though. Here are my little sports outfits!

PS I was covering up my eyes in one of the pictures because the Packers got another touchdown and beat the Vikings this time. Mommy and I know that we will have better luck in November when there will be a rematch!

Park Rapids

Mommy loves to take pictures of me, so she asked cousin Kristin to take some pictures in front of the lake in Park Rapids. Here are a few of the pictures Kristin took of our family on Fish Hook Lake and at Northern Pines Camp. I also had my picture taken with cousin Lexi and auntie Stefanie and "the girls" (aka...Grandma Carla, Lexi, Auntie Stefanie, and Mommy)

Baptism

On Wednesday, July 23rd, I was baptized at Irvine Park in a big white gazebo. It was a sunny, warm day and we had many family and friends there. Mommy, Auntie Stefanie, and cousins Lexi and Sam all went to the Farmer's Market in the morning to buy these huge flower bouquets for the service. The baptism was at the park because our church has one service a month outside at the local park. Mommy and Daddy thought it would be cool to have me baptized there and it was great. I was a good boy during the baptism and when the minister put the water on my head, I stretched my arms up high and thought, "AMEN!" It was pretty funny! My godparents are Auntie Stefanie, Uncle Bruce, and Uncle Jimmy. Here are a few pictures of my big day!
