July Happenings Part 1 of 2

We had an awesome 4th of July on the lake.  Our cousins, aunts, and uncles from the Klay side were there to celebrate too.  In preparation (thanks to Pinterest), we made matching shirts! Checkout Emmett's footprint instead of a handprint~ precious!
Speaking of Emmett, here is the little guy.  He is already 7 months old.  Uncle Matt, Auntie Jill, and Emmett just moved into her parents house while their new one is being built.  They will live only 5 or so miles from us!
We spent a ton of time on the lake.  Pontooning, waterskiing, tubing, swimming and floating.  We couldn't ask for more!
Grammy still runs the resort.  She has simplified and updated the cabins and rents just 3 now.  Her resort sign was just recently painted, so we decided to do some adorable advertising for her!  This year, our family stayed in a cabin over the 4th to make room for all us.  It was really fun to stay in a cabin next to the main house!
Sunset Swim
Cooper and I did lots of fishing.  We had a fish fry with all of the crappies, bluegills and perch that we caught.
Cooper was literally dancing around while eating his s'more
We finally got our tube out that I received for my birthday!  We were on the tube all day long, just couldn't get enough!
Mommy and Auntie Erin decided they needed some fun too :)
Daddy is working on front and backwards barefooting toe-holds.
Boating all day in the sun is exhausting!  We slept like champs at night!
Liberty continues to love pontoon rides too.  She is a permanent fixture on the pontoon with us.
On the 4th, we start our day off with the longest parade in the entire world (quite possibly).  We only stay for about an hour, long enough to see the fighter jets pass overhead, see the Tin Lizzy cars (Mom's favorite), listen to the sirens on the firetrucks, eat a bazillion Tootsie Rolls and get sprayed by the annoying kids with water guns.  Nothing screams the 4th like this hot and sweaty parade, yet, we will be back next year!
Bennett, Caden and I voted the Baldwin princesses float as our favorite this year
After the parade, back to the pontoon we go to cool off and enjoy the lake!
We have our own firework display before the city blows off the main show over the lake.
One of these kids is not like the other one :)  Cooper needed to go to his backup 4th of July shirt!
We caught Cooper sitting on Grammy's toilet with lifejacket still on while reading the Chetek Alert.  Mommy might submit this for the "Where Are We Now?" section in the local paper with the caption, "Grammy's Bathroom!"
I became quite skilled with hanging over the edge of the boat which I think is pretty convenient.
In other news, Cooper and I went to our annual check-up.  We had our blood pressure checked, eyes and ears checked and I had to get 2 BIG shots.  The good news is that I didn't cry with the shots and both of us are healthy!
Length- 3feet 2 1/2 inches (75% for his age) Weight- 31 pounds (50%) and great news for Cooper is he was removed from his asthma treatments for the summer, woo-hoo!
Length- 3 feet 5 inches (30% for my age)  Weight 37 pounds (about 25%) and immunizations all up-to-date and ready for Kindergarten now.  Keep reading part 2 below for more happenings from last week!
