Jammin'

This past week was FUN!  We went to Jenny's house on Monday for the day because Mommy said 3 weeks without a break was going to place her in the mental hospital soon.  While she did not check-into the hospital, she enjoyed an outdoor run with a friend and a day of scrapbooking with another friend.  She probably deserved a day off from us monkeys.  Jenny sent this picture to Mommy- we missed our tan buddy Mason so much.  We spent the entire day outside in their pool!
A few weeks ago, we went to Finley's birthday party and one of Heather's friends told us about this waterslide pool at Aldi's.  We decided to go see if they had one left and sure enough, we bought the very last one.  It was on clearance and has been endless fun in our yard!

Cooper said, "It's football season" and emerged with the above outfit on.  He proceeded to confuse us all with his baseball hat and then wanted a movie of him hitting the ball.  Cooper is a left-handed hitter, but will occasionally hit with his right, switch hitter, we hope so!
We had a mini-jam session down the road at Genevieve's grandparents house.  We call her grandma, Grandma Jean.  She is an author and quite musical, so it is fun to visit her.  We all were given instruments and had a jam session in her living room.
On Wednesday, we hit the beach.  Heather invited us to join them for a few hours since it was blazing hot outside.  We had fun in the water, had a little picnic and jumped off the dock a bunch of times.
We had the great pleasure of babysitting Emmett this past week.  Auntie Jill was completing her training at a local pharmacy and Uncle Matt had a job interview.  We had Emmett for an entire afternoon which was awesome!  Liberty was less than enthusiastic about this as you can read it all over her face in the above photo.... "Another one, seriously!"
Emmett loves Liberty.  He just laughed and laughed at her.  He obviously did not pick up on Liberty's annoyance.
Cooper and I were napping when Emmett first arrived, so Mommy was loving every second of her auntie time.  Clearly, Emmett was too.
Emmett needed a late afternoon nap, so Mommy did her special bouncy dance with him and within 2 minutes, he was sound asleep.  Emmett can come join us anytime, and NO Daddy, a 3rd baby doesn't look as easy as today appears :)
It was a busy, busy day... we ended our evening at the Express game.  This is an amateur baseball team, but they are fun to watch.  We joined several other families for a beautiful evening at the ballpark.  The Express lost but we didn't seem to mind.  Lucy and Lily kept trying to get us to leave our parents and climb the bleachers with them (actually, we were the bleacher monkeys).
Finley joined the bleacher climbing fun and we sat right under the VISITORS sign until our parents couldn't stand watching the soon-to-be disaster.
Trax, the Express mascott let us take a photo with him.  Cooper was no where to be seen as he was pretty scared of this giant sized turd (Heather has good reasoning of what he actually is, something to do with the railroad ).
The last big event from the week was Country Jam.  Our parents received 3-day concert tix from our neighbor who was an original investor with this outdoor event.  His family has since taken over the management of it but he has been generous and kind to gift them tickets each year.  The first night, our parents went to see Rascal Flatts and The Band Perry.  They enjoyed both concerts and the beautiful evening.
Cheers to country music- the boot coozies were purchased this past winter from Leinie's Lodge, yee-haw.
They did not go to the concerts on Friday because Saturday was going to be a long day of music.  With extra wristbands, Jim and Karri, along with our neighbors from across the road, hit Country Jam for a full day- Sawyer Brown, Kix Brooks, Big and Rich and Gary Allan.
Mom and Dad got a backstage peek at sound checks which was pretty cool!
While Daddy was in line to use the bathroom behind the stage, "Big" from the music group Big and Rich called him "one sexy bleep."  Daddy was not flattered at all, but Mom was disappointed that he didn't have him sign something, hello!  Big is the guy pointing at Daddy in this photo, LOL!  In all seriousness, this was not taken that day, it was a picture online, but Big is the guy with the tall hat.
They had a great time, saw many friends, heard great music and look forward to a return visit next year!  Cooper snuck into Mommy's closet before she got dressed that morning and said, "Me a farmer, I want to go too!"  After several years of this, our parents have vowed to NEVER, EVER let us go near that place with all the young and crazy kids doing things they shouldn't be doing.  Guess we will have to work this out the next 12 or so years.  Have a great week ahead everyone!
