Welcome Back David!

He's BACK!  David made his debut on December 2nd (typically he would come the 1st of December, but we were "naughty" and he delayed his return... lesson learned).  David came bearing gifts- M&M's that spelled "Hi;" we quickly gobbled those up at 6:15 in the morning and he made us Elf on the Shelf jammies!
Each morning, we are off to find David.  Cooper and I have been waking up extra early just to find him- my parents have had a few stern talks with David about this.  He was found on my bedroom table holding Jesus in the manger.
He must've traveled in Handy Manny's repair truck to the North Pole but it broke down.  Thankfully, Mater came to his rescue.
We found him reading in front of the fireplace to our stuffed animals.  Of course, he was reading Elf on the Shelf to them.
He took a ride inside of a toilet paper tube down a full flight of stairs.  I think he liked it because he was still smiling :)
He had a marshmallow fight with Mr. Potato Head on our kitchen table.  Mr. Potato even had his tongue out- must've been a mean game!
David wrote us a note as we sadly said "goodbye" to Grammy's cat Rudy on Saturday.  Rudy was 15 years old and quite sick.  I sobbed for 45 minutes when my parents sat us down to tell us about Rudy.  Cooper and I adored him.  Santa and David gave us a photograph from 2 Christmases ago- we were cuddling Rudy; we will cherish our photo and remember Rudy for being so tolerant and loving to us.
And finally, David gave us a special puzzle of himself.  We will enjoy putting this together time and time again.  We just love seeing what David has in store for us each morning!
Once again, our house has turned into a bakery and Pinterest inspired kitchen- Cooper had preschool snack last week and since it is the holiday season, how about reindeer donuts and water bottles!  The kids and teachers loved them!
How cute are these gifts?!?!  Mommy hosted her annual cookie exchange on Friday night and the cocoa jars with Bailey's Minis were prizes for the games and cookie voting.  She made peppermint truffles and Christmas Candy Blossoms (she won prettiest cookie!)
The weather is ridiculous!  We have only ventured out once in the past week thanks to dangerously cold windchills.  One cold, but tolerable night, we went snowmobiling.  Cooper is able to drive now (Daddy adjusts the speed so that it is very slow) and then he "cranks" it up for me :)  We love our Kitty Cat and I have already BEGGED my parents to get Cooper his own and their answer was a very strong, "No!"

You can see Cooper's head jerking forward and back as he is trying to work on maintaining speed.  He is a little "hot" on the throttle.
This past weekend we celebrated Christmas with Papa and Grandma Sharon.  We risked slick roads and an extra long drive to celebrate with everyone.  Papa and Grandma Sharon will head back to Indiana next week, so we set aside the day for family, presents and a delicious dinner.  Note: Jimmy is in PJ's because he threw up all over when he arrived.  We have now all been exposed to the flu- fingers crossed we stay healthy this week :)
We LOVE presents and were so excited to rip through them.  We must've been very good again this year :)
Don't you LOVE Cooper's spider tattoo on his hand?!?!  His preschool teacher put that scary thing on there last week, nice.
Our biggest gift were Reebok hockey bags that we will use for a very long time!  They are on wheels like a suitcase but also convert into backpacks for when we are super strong and big.  We also got these Wild jerseys (the entire family got them).  We received hockey gloves, Legos, a hunting game for our TV, downhill ski day passes, and our smallest and most special gift- our annual Swarovski ornament for the tree.  This year they found unique ones- a silver/crystal reindeer for us!
Thank you Papa and Grandma Sharon!  We are so thankful for the two of you, for the wonderful gathering, and awesome gifts.  What a great kick-off to the holidays!
