Yesterday, I started my NHL training! It all started thanks to our babysitter, Amanda, who is an amazing figure skater (competitive). She told my parents about a learn to skate program right here in our town, so my parents were excited to sign me up. For Christmas, I received hockey skates and a helmet. As you will see in this movie, I am the only boy in lessons and the only kid with a helmet. Uncle Jimmy will attest to the importance of learning to skate before playing hockey. He was an awesome hockey player (goalie) and also learned with a bunch of girls. Lessons are every Sunday evening for the next few months. My big accomplishments this week included, learning to stand up, standing alone, falling and getting back up, and stepping/marching on my skates.
This past Saturday, while Mommy celebrated with girlfriends for Emily's upcoming wedding, Daddy took us boys to Grammy's house. We were excited to go because Grammy's lake has snow and ice which means it was time to ride the kitty cat!
Daddy taught us how to make snow angels on the lake....
The big 45 minute drive south sure was depressing as we returned to brown grass, dirty roads, but at least a golf cart ride with Dana. In desperation I would like Old Man Winter to PLEASE bring me some snow very, very soon!!!
Finally, I was being silly for the camera a few days ago, so Mommy snapped some pictures with her lovely new camera and when she looked at them closely, she nearly fainted. This first picture reminds her SO much of her Daddy (my Papa). See the resemblance at all?
