Cooper did some sort of happy dance while dying his eggs.....
While I was busy making artful masterpieces out of mine. This is just a snapshot of our personality types.
Thankfully (again), the Easter bunny made his usual stop at our house. We had play-doh, puzzles, paint sets, new remote vehicles (Krabby Patty for me and Scooby Doo 4 wheeler for Coop) and of course, CANDY!Our neighborhood had an Easter egg hunt at "Grandma Jean and Grandpa Tom's" house for us that afternoon. We found eggs filled with candy and money, woo-hoo!
Genevieve is our unofficial sister... she babysits us and is very loving and caring towards Cooper and I. We are so lucky to have her as a neighbor.
Who wants candy?!?!?
Grandma Jean is quite musical. She has a grand piano and lots of instruments. We had a rock concert in her living room. These are becoming fairly regular during our visits. Look at Cooper's tongue hanging out, rock star!
Earlier that day.... Emmett, our cousin, was baptized! He is 1 1/2 years old, but with Matt and Jill's move back to the area, their construction of their home, and settling into new jobs, Emmett's baptism was delayed until Easter Sunday. Instead of going to our church to celebrate Easter, we went to their church, a Catholic church in town. Our parents literally put the fear of GOD into us as we had to sit in the front row for the service. Cooper and I hardly made a peep during the hour-long event.Per Catholic tradition, Matt and Jill chose Daddy as Godfather, but due to traditions and restrictions, Mommy was unable to be the Godmother because our parents are not practicing Catholics. Daddy is baptized and confirmed Catholic, but since then, we have joined a Lutheran church. So, Daddy is Emmett's Godfather, such a great honor! The Godmother is Jill's best friend's Mom, who is a practicing Catholic and a close friend of the family's. We are so blessed to have witnessed such a beautiful baptism that morning.
The big cousins (minus Kyra who was probably hiding from all of these boys!)
We enjoyed a delicious Easter brunch and enjoyed seeing Daddy's side of the family on Easter Sunday! We are wondering if we live in Seattle?!?!? Since we have been home, it has been chilly, rainy and windy, yuck! Cooper and I were able to FINALLY use our raincoats and umbrellas from Grandma Carla and Grandpa Jamie (X-mas gifts). The only bummer is now it seems we need these daily, boo! I think our weather will switch from cold/chilly to hot/humid with no transition in between.
This little love bucket (aka, our cousin Jimmy) turned 2 this week! He is such a happy, silly and fun cousin. We are so glad we were able to make his birthday party on Saturday. Happy Birthday Buddy!
Have a great week!
